Pre embedded construction of low-voltage cables for road renovation in Nigerian towns
The construction of village and town roads will be synchronized with the underground renovation of low voltage power cables. All 0.6kV low-voltage overhead lines along the street will be directly buried in cable trenches. Combined with the integrated construction of road subgrade and drainage channels, the safety hazards of power supply along the street will be completely solved, and the urban appearance and power supply reliability will be improved simultaneously. On site footage shows continuous excavation of reinforced concrete cable trenches along the street. Construction, supervision, and owner inspections are carried out on site, and the entire process of trench binding, concrete pouring, and cable embedding is carried out in sections.

Low voltage power cables are corrosion-resistant, resistant to soil and mild acidic and alkaline environments, waterproof and moisture-proof, and can be buried underground. Compared to overhead lines, they are safer and easier to maintain. Combined with the local geographical environment, they have more yellow sand and are suitable for long-term outdoor buried use on roads.
The low-voltage cable pre embedding project for urban road renovation in Nigeria adopts a reinforced concrete integrated cable trench and low-voltage power cable burial scheme, taking into account the special working conditions of local red soil geology, mixed pedestrian and vehicular streets and alleys, and high temperature and drought. The cross construction of civil roads and power pipelines is coordinated simultaneously, taking into account the multiple needs of traffic, construction, and power supply. Compared with traditional overhead power lines, the low-voltage cable underground project has comprehensive advantages of safety, reliability, easy operation and maintenance, and beautiful urban appearance in the street renovation of tropical towns. It can be used for the upgrading of power grids for similar urban roads in Africa.
